In Luke 18:8 we read, “…when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”  Over the past 40 years, I have experienced significant shifts in my Christian experience.  I have served on gospel teams, been a licensed minister, deacon, church treasurer, singer, music director, preacher/teacher and elder.  Having such a solid grounding in the church and her teachings, who would have thought that God would open up new things to me?  Looking back, I have noticed the gradual changes in my thinking on subjects such as Hell and eschatology (the end times).

In the past 3-4 years my fundamental thinking world has been turned upside down, and I have taken a new learning direction at warp speed.  God can use anything or anyone to influence our thinking.  For me it was the offerings of a 19th century writer by the name of George MacDonald.  Through his works I can appreciate the Bible even more and not be afraid to ask the hard questions within Christianity.  I have felt greater joy, a fulfilling peace and a lasting hope — such as I have never felt before.  This blog is the outlet for the truth of the gospel as I now see it.

I welcome your comments and questions.  I think if more of us agreed to discuss openly and calmly all matters pertaining to our faith, the Holy Spirit would begin to teach and bind us together in God’s pure love.
